Why Creating Happy Healthy Habits?

Creating Happy Healthy Habits is for all moms who have ever felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and irritated with trying to be healthy. There is so much information out there—most of it conflicting. It’s hard to know which expert to listen to, what to believe, and which diet or fitness plan to follow. It’s so important to find a program that fits YOU. This is your life, your choice, your time, your hard work, your dedication, and your determination. If a program doesn’t fit your goals and your lifestyle, you won’t succeed.

All the programs focus on Happy Healthy Habits you can slowly start adding into the lifestyle you already live so that you can achieve your goals. As you focus on adding habits in, instead of taking things away, being healthy becomes considerably happier and easier. All of the programs add in simple and easy lifestyle changes that coincide with the habits you already have. Maybe it’s going for a quick walk before you sit down to relax and watch Netflix, maybe you reach for an extra serving of vegetables instead of bread, maybe you take a couple of calming breaths to slow your heart rate and calm your nerves before reacting to stressful situations.

There is a belief that to be healthy, you need to take things away. Carbs, fats, cholesterol, candy bars, ice cream and Oreos (my personal favorites), binge watching Netflix, and many other "guilty" pleasures… I don’t believe that. I think that when you want to start making healthier decisions, the last thing you should do is take away things you love. This shifts your focus to what you can’t have. You can’t have all these things you used to turn to for stress relief, or these habits you had that you simply enjoy doing. When you focus on the things you love, but can’t have, you are MISERABLE. And I know you don’t want to be miserable. That’s one reason why I founded Creating Happy Healthy Habits. If you aren’t enjoying being healthy, then you are going to stop being healthy. It’s that simple. Joy will win out over being healthy every single time. But you shouldn’t have to choose happy or healthy. Choose both. That’s why I created programs that stop depriving you of things you want. Instead we focus on how you can add healthier habits into your current lifestyle. As an extra bonus, when you add in Happy Healthy Habits, they will slowly start to replace the...less than desirable habits. It’s a constructive process that creates a positive mind shift without the negative focus on what you give up.

We need to create balance in our lives as we strive to Create Happy Healthy Habits, whether that means physically, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, nutritionally, with relationships, etc. I’m here to help you find balance in living a happy and healthy life. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE HAPPY OR HEALTHY. Happy and Healthy should go hand in hand. It is okay to enjoy being healthy. You deserve to be happy and healthy. Find your balance. You don’t have to workout every single day, you don’t have to eat a salad with every meal, you don’t have to cut out entire food groups. You need to find where you feel the most balanced, and then stay there. You need to find where you are happiest with eating nutritionally dense foods, and… well… not so nutritionally dense foods. You have to find the balance between going to bed early and letting your body recover from your long day, or watching “just one more episode”. Finding balance isn’t always an easy task. And that’s what I’m here for! I’m creating programs that help you with all different aspects of being happy and healthy so that you can have the support you need to Create Happy Healthy Habits, and live a balanced lifestyle.

I am one of those people who loves to exercise. Now before you hold that against me please hear me out! I exercise almost every day. But I do it for me. I do it for stress relief, I do it so that I can be a good example to my children, I do it so I can be a better mom and spouse. I do it to take care of myself. That is MY time. My time to think, decompress, evaluate, plan, and improve. Exercising has increased my confidence in myself. Not just ‘cause I look good (which I do) but also because I know how strong I am. I am strong enough to exercise even on the days I don’t want to. I’m strong enough to accept the fact that there are days I don’t want to exercise, and not feel guilty when I skip a workout. I’m strong enough to power through the hard times in life and push myself farther than I thought I could go. Yes, my muscles are strong, but more importantly than that, I have learned to have a strong mind. Exercise is a huge stress relief for me, and with 3 kids, my own business, and a husband who is also a business owner, I need a healthy stress outlet. This happy healthy habit didn’t come easily to me. I’ve worked for years to get to the point I’m at now. I still have days of self-doubt and day’s when I don’t feel like I am enough. But this is where the habit comes in. I KNOW that exercise makes me feel more confident and capable. It boosts my mood and helps me to feel like I am enough. “Am I going to exercise today?” Isn’t a question I ask myself because I know the answer is yes. It’s a habit, I don’t even think about it. I just do it.

I tell you this because I want to make sure that the Happy Healthy Habits you are creating are for YOU. This is your life and your choice. If you start an exercise program just because someone told you to, you wont be happy, you wont give it your all, probably won’t be much healthier, and it won’t turn into a habit. These programs are for you. They need to align with your goals and what you want to accomplish. If you find a program that lines up with your goals, brings you joy, and helps you to feel more confident and accomplished then you will be able to Create Happy Healthy Habits.

Do it for you. Do it so you feel confident, vibrant, accomplished, energized, proud, healthy, happy or any other positive adjective you want!

With these programs you will feel informed, educated and excited to be Creating Happy Healthy Habits. I focus on taking away all the confusion, misinformation, overwhelm, self doubt, massive time commitments, and lifestyle overthrow. I meet you where you are and guide you to where you want to be through small and simple lifestyle changes. You will be given all the supplies and information you need to create your happy healthy habits, but you have to put in the work and effort. You have to be willing to add in the simple steps and commit to doing those steps on a regular basis. You have to be diligent and dedicated. I’m here to teach, cheer, guide and support you, but I can’t do the hard work for you.

This isn’t a diet, or a lose weight quick scheme. You aren’t going to drop 20lbs in 10 days.
You will create lasting lifestyle changes that will help you live a happier and healthier life. We are going to work together to help you incorporate healthier habits into your life. You are going to learn how to take care of yourself, and enjoy the process! You will be successful for the rest of your life, not just until you stop your diet, have a stressful day at home/work, start binge watching Netflix again, or stop exercising. You will learn that happy and healthy are meant to be together. You will Create Happy Healthy Habits to manage stress, eat more nutritionally dense foods without dieting, add physical fitness into your lifestyle. And you will do it all at your comfort level.
